Rules
Effective August 1st, 2009
the following changes have
been adopted by the APPL:
The league will stratify into two divisions. The overall standings will remain the same, but there will be "A" & "B" divisions.
To determine the divisional boundaries, the following criteria apply:
All players who have finished in the top 4 of a previous event are automatically placed in the "A" division. The remaining players
may choose to participate at either the "A" or "B" level, but may not amend their choice after it has been declared for the season.
Everyone must state their divisional choice when paying their entry fee for the next tournament.
"A" Division
"B" Division
1st Place — 35% of purse, trophy, and title of "2009 APPL Champion", 2nd Place — 20% of purse, 3rd Place — 15% of purse
1st Place — 10% of purse and trophy, 2nd Place — 7.5% of purse, 3rd Place — 5% of purse
The balance of the purse will be used for the trophy fund and APPL administrative costs.
The winner of the "B" division must move up to the "A" division the following year. Any player in "A" whose season total would
not have garnered an award in "B" may choose to drop down to the “B" division.
